USD Women Beat Washington

Jennifer Larking and Aby Brayton each won a match and teamed for another victory as the University of San Diego beat Washington, 8-1, in a nonconference tennis match at USD Friday.

Larking beat Cindy Olejar in the No. 1 match, 6-1, 6-2. In the No. 2 match, Brayton beat Whitney Clarke, 6-2, 6-3.

VOLLEYBALL

San Diego State (12-14, 2-10) won the first game, but Cal State Long Beach won the Western Intercollegiate Volleyball Assn. match, 8-15, 15-10, 15-11, 18-16, at Peterson Gym. SDSU freshman Hugh Foster had 33 kills.
