The two teams that will take the road to Monday’s college basketball championship will be determined today in Kansas City.
In the first of back-to-back games on CBS, Duke plays Kansas at 2:30 p.m. (2)(8). The Arizona-Oklahoma game follows about 4:45 p.m., with both called by Brent Musburger and Billy Packer from Kemper Arena.
Leading into those games at 2 p.m. on CBS is “Fifty Years at the Final Four,” a half-hour look at highlights from memorable moments in the NCAA Tournament.
On Sunday, CBS will carry the NCAA women’s basketball championship at 1 p.m. Tim Brant and Mimi Griffin report from Tacoma.
Also on CBS is the World Figure Skating Championship Exhibition showcasing Katarina Witt and Brian Boitano, among others, from Budapest. “Sports Saturday” features the event today at 1 p.m.
Tennis fans can catch the World Championship Tennis Finals today at 10 a.m. (2)(8), and the “Challenge of the Champions” Sunday at 12:30 p.m. (7)(3)(10)(42). In the latter, Martina Navratilova and Billie Jean King meet Chris Evert and Pam Shriver in a best-of-three sets exhibition.
Meanwhile, NBC watches the Dinah Shore golf tournament today at 1:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. (4)(36)(39).
