Undefeated Torrey Pines Tops High School Baseball Top 10

The Torrey Pines High School baseball team, the only undefeated baseball team in San Diego County, is the top team in The Times’ top 10.

Torrey Pines (12-0) went through the AA Division of the Lions tournament undefeated. It was tied with No. 2 Madison Wednesday, 6-6, when the game was suspended in the top of the ninth inning because of darkness. The game will be completed May 14.

Mission Bay, which won the A Division, 16-4, over Escondido, is ranked third and Mt. Carmel, which won the AAA championship with an 11-6 victory over Santana, is ranked fourth.
