Undefeated Torrey Pines Tops High School Baseball Top 10

SAN DIEGO — The Torrey Pines High School baseball team, the only undefeated baseball team in San Diego County, is the top team in The Times’ top 10.
Torrey Pines (12-0) went through the AA Division of the Lions tournament undefeated. It was tied with No. 2 Madison Wednesday, 6-6, when the game was suspended in the top of the ninth inning because of darkness. The game will be completed May 14.
Mission Bay, which won the A Division, 16-4, over Escondido, is ranked third and Mt. Carmel, which won the AAA championship with an 11-6 victory over Santana, is ranked fourth.
