Arizona All-American Sean Elliott, a junior forward, announced he will remain at Arizona for his senior season.
After Arizona lost to Oklahoma in the NCAA semifinals, Elliott said he felt sure he would apply for the NBA draft. But Arizona Coach Lute Olson and assistant coach Kevin O’Neill were instrumental in convincing the only Tucson native on Arizona’s squad to finish his college eligibility.
Elliott said if Arizona had won the national championship, his decision might have been different.
