23 Selected for Basketball All-Star Game
Twenty-three of the top City and Southern section seniors will compete in the Greater San Fernando Valley All-Star Basketball Classic on April 22 at Cal State Northridge.
Richard Branham (Cleveland), Tory Stephens (San Fernando), Danny Enowitz (Grant) and Dominic Nappi (North Hollywood) are expected to lead the City team.
The Southern Section will be led by Butch Hawking and Shawn DeLaittre (Simi Valley). Jon Drezner (Calabasas), Bruce Heicke (Notre Dame) and Steve Valenzuela (Hart) also are expected to play.
City and Southern section girls also will compete. Sandrine Rocher (North Hollywood), Kerrie Marshall (El Camino Real) and April Ham (Kennedy) are expected to lead the City. Barbara Tanner and Lina Mascarenas (Thousand Oaks), Millie Junio and Carol Schonemann (Alemany) and Nancy Robinson (Louisville) will lead the Southern Section.
The girls are scheduled to play at 6 p.m. and the boys at 8.
Proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Club.
