Foudy Leads Eight From Mission Viejo on All-League Team

Mission Viejo High School’s Julie Foudy, who leed the Diablos to their third consecutive 4-A championship, was named the South Coast League most valuable girls’ soccer player by a vote of the league’s coaches.
Foudy, a junior midfielder, was the 1987 4-A offensive player of the year as a sophomore. She has been on the varsity since she was a freshman and is joined on the all-league team by teammates Rae Hubocan, Stacey Hopper, Kerri Kennedy, Tammy Van Opdorp, Sheri Berteil, Stephanie Cox and Suzie Davis.
