Safety Kenny Easley of the Seattle Seahawks was to have an examination by a Seattle doctor after a previously undetected kidney condition prevented him from joining the Phoenix Cardinals as part of a trade that sent quarterback Kelly Stouffer to Seattle.
Easley was examined Friday by Cardinal team physician Russell Chick, an orthopedic surgeon, and Morton Dubnow, an internist. The doctors said Easley has a degenerated kidney.
