Alain Prost of France out-sped teammate Ayrton Senna of Brazil and won the pole position for Sunday’s Formula One San Marino Grand Prix at the Dino Ferrari autodrome at Imola, Italy.
Both drivers drove turbocharged McLaren-Hondas on a wet track.
Prost turned in the top speed on the 3.132-mile course, 111.319 m.p.h.
