Torrey Pines 3, Orange Glen 2--John Lynch hit a two-run home run in the first, then took the mound and earned the save in the seventh for host and No. 6 Torrey Pines (17-2, 4-2). Mick Hochleutner (5-0) was the winner.

Fallbrook 6, Vista 1--Jeff Lawrence pitched a two-hitter and had four RBIs for host Fallbrook. David Stronjy ruined Lawrence’s shutout with a leadoff home run in the seventh. Lawrence had a single and a double for Fallbrook (13-6, 5-2). Vista is 3-4 in the league.

CITY CENTRAL LEAGUE

Crawford 11, San Diego 1--Jeff Wilcox had four RBIs and struck out eight for visiting Crawford (12-7, 7-2). Wilcox (6-3) also hit a two-run homer in the fourth and was 2 for 5. Cesear Ochoa (2-1) was the loser for San Diego (10-8, 4-5).

AVOCADO LEAGUE

San Pasqual 12, El Camino 5--Keith Nichols, Kevin Herde and Mike Escarsega led the way for San Pasqual at El Camino. Nichols was 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs, including a two-run homer. Escarsega was 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs and struck out 10 in 5 innings. Herde was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and struck out 4 in two innings after replacing Escarsega. San Pasqual is 5-2, 9-8. El Camino is 1-6 in the league.

Carlsbad 12, Oceanside 5--Jeff Myers was 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs for host and No. 10 Carlsbad (14-4, 8-0). Terry Vaughn had 2 RBIs for Oceanside (7-12, 2-6).

Brian Archer (6-3) struck out eight for Kearny (8-10-1, 3-5). Duke Gonzalez (2-2) took the loss for USDHS (10-8 and 5-3).

Clairemont 7, University City 5--Ray McDavid was 1 for 3, but he walked twice with the bases loaded and had 4 RBIs for Clairemont (6-12, 3-7). Vic Beltran (4-6) was the winner. Rick Alvarez was 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs for University City (7-12, 1-8).

METRO CONFERENCE

Sweetwater 6, Southwest 4--Larry Meza singled in two runs in a four-run sixth inning for host Sweetwater (5-2, 11-9-1). Meza was 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. Southwest (0-7, 1-16) led, 4-2, after the top half of the sixth.
