San Pedro 7, Gardena 2--San Pedro broke up a scoreless ballgame in the fifth with five runs. Joey Miller’s two-run triple was the highlight of the inning for San Pedro, which improved to 17-5 overall. Gardena fell to 7-7 in Marine League play.

Miraleste 8, Leuzinger 5--At Leuzinger, Miraleste improved to 4-5 in Pioneer League play with the victory to pull into a third-place tie with the Olympians. Miraleste scored six runs in the fifth inning on only one hit--a bases-loaded double by Scott Snyder, to erase a 2-0 Leuzinger lead. The teams meet Friday at Miraleste to determine the last playoff spot.

St. Bernard 6, Murphy 0--Pat Ahearne improved to 5-0 in Camino Real League play and Royce Clayton belted his ninth homer for St. Bernard, which improved to 13-0 in league and 19-3 overall. It was the eighth consecutive game in which St. Bernard pitchers did not give up a walk.
