Whittier Christian Wins, Then Loses
Whittier Christian defeated Ontario Christian, 6-2, in an Olympic League baseball game Friday and finished in a tie for second place with Orange Lutheran. But Whittier Christian will be the league’s No. 3 representative in the Southern Section 2-A playoffs after losing a draw.
No. 2 Orange Lutheran, which had a bye Friday, split a two-game series against Whittier Christian during the league season. Both teams finished 9-3.
Valley Christian, the league champion, received the No. 1 berth.
