NCAA Headquarters Will Move Offices
The NCAA will move from its Mission, Kan., offices, which has housed the group since 1972, to an adjacent suburb, NCAA Executive Director Dick Schultz said last week.
The NCAA will lease a 130,000 square-foot, seven-floor building on an 11-acre lot in Overland Park in the far southern reaches of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The association owns two buildings in Mission that have a combined square footage of about 45,000.
“This will meet our needs for the next 10 years and beyond,” Schultz said, “It fits our needs now and will take care of future expansion plans.”
The new NCAA building will be built and owned by Copaken, White and Blitt, a Kansas City real estate investment firm, and leased to the association.
