Judge Says NFL Can Sue Raiders
In a decision that could lead to the Los Angeles Raiders being forced to pay the National Football League for moving their franchise from Oakland to Los Angeles, rather than collecting up to $57 million damages from the league as earlier ordered, a U.S. district judge ruled today that the league could file a broad new cross-complaint in the 8-year-old case.
Raider attorneys quickly said the decision by Judge Terry Hatter will be appealed.
