Jeff Wilson, a two-year starter for Capistrano Valley High School’s football team, will miss his senior season after he was severely injured in an automobile accident Wednesday morning, according to Ray Panici, an assistant coach for Capistrano Valley.

Wilson suffered a broken foot, a partial tear of his Achilles’ tendon and cuts on his knee and face. He underwent surgery on his foot and face on Thursday at Mission Viejo Community Hospital.

Last season, Wilson rushed for 280 yards and caught 7 passes as a slot back. He was scheduled to start at tight end and inside linebacker in 1988.
