Northridge Names Baseball Assistant

Randy Day, a former infielder in the Philadelphia Phillies and Toronto Blue Jays organizations, has been hired as an assistant baseball coach at Cal State Northridge, Matador Coach Bill Kernen has announced.

Day, 28, attended Orange Coast College and the University of Texas.

Mark Morton, a former Northridge player who was an assistant last season, will remain on the staff.
