Rambac Wins Again at Los Alamitos
Rambac won his fourth consecutive race at Los Alamitos Saturday, posting a 1-length decision over Collectors Series in the $28,800 Breeders Classics Far West Futurity.
With John Creager in the saddle, Rambac broke on top and cruised to a rapid 350-yard clocking of 17.63 seconds.
Collectors Series finished a nose in front of Beat Your Pants Off in the field of seven 2-year-olds. Beat Your Pants Off was coupled with Rambac as the Connie Hall-trained entry.
The entry paid $2.80, $2.20 and $2.20. Collectors Series returned $3.80 and $3.60.
Rambac, winner of the $150,000 Governor’s Cup Futurity at Los Alamitos in August, earned first prize of $11,664 while increasing his lifetime earnings to $133,485.
The Tolltac gelding has 5 wins in 11 starts.
