The first score was a one-yard plunge by John Katovsich, which capped a six-play drive set up by linebacker Chris Deuchar’s interception of an Eric Kovanda pass.

The final Sea King score of the quarter was another one-yard run with 18 seconds left by Jerrott Willard, giving Corona del Mar a 21-0 lead. He scored after a 33-yard run by Lucas.

The only other score of the game was a safety in the fourth quarter. With San Clemente (0-2) on its six-yard line, Kovanda fumbled trying to avoid the pass rush and was tackled after recovering the ball in the end zone.
