THE COLLEGES : Pasadena Routs Golden West

Pasadena College gained 432 yards in total offense and defeated Golden West, 56-16, in the Mission Conference opener Friday in front of about 750 at Orange Coast College.
Pasadena (1-1, 1-0) scored two quick touchdowns in the first quarter, but Golden West (1-1, 0-1) answered with a three-yard scoring pass from Joe Napoli to Lee Miller.
Pasadena’s Anthony Wallace took the following kickoff and returned it 90 yards to put Pasadena ahead, 21-7, with 4 minutes left in the first half.
Blaise Bryant rushed for 133 yards in 23 carries for Golden West.
