Big West Roundup : Fresno St. Rolls Past McNeese St.
Quarterback Mark Barsotti passed for 1 touchdown and ran for another to lead Fresno State to a 49-0 victory over McNeese State Saturday night at Fresno.
McNeese (3-1), a Division I-AA school, could not get any offense going in the first half with just 1 first down and 19 yards in total offense. Fresno State is now 3-1.
It was 35-0 at halftime, as Myron Jones scored on a 1-yard run, Barsotti teamed with Anthony Williams on a 35-yard scoring pass, Dwight Pickens scored on a 22-yard reverse, tailback Darrell Rosette passed to Andre Alexander on a 46-yard touchdown pass play and Barsotti scored on a 1-yard run.
Nevada Las Vegas 26, Ohio U. 18--Freshman Charles Price, getting his first start of the season, threw an 80-yard scoring pass and Tommy Jackson rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown as the Rebels won a conference game at Las Vegas.
UNLV is now 1-2 for the season.
