Los Alamitos 40, Lakewood 7--Los Alamitos combined a balanced rushing attack and stingy defense in the nonleague victory at Gahr High School.
Los Alamitos rolled up 285 yards in total offense, scoring 5 touchdowns rushing.
Fullback Eric Caesar rushed for 47 yards in 10 carries and scored 2 touchdowns, his second with 7:06 to play in the third quarter, for the Griffins (4-0-1).
Lakewood (1-3) was held to 116 yards in total offense, but was able to score the first touchdown on Los Alamitos’ defense in four games. Matt Paige threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Buddy Paul for the Lancers’ only score.
Los Alamitos led at halftime, 27-7.
