Royal 24, Righetti 6--After giving up the opening touchdown, Royal rallied to win its homecoming game at Simi Valley High.
Righetti running back Eugene Williams scored on a 46-yard run in the first quarter, but the Highlanders countered with a 76-yard bomb from quarterback Pat Ledesma to wide receiver James Jones.
Jones scored a second touchdown on a 14-yard reception to give Royal a 14-6 halftime lead.
Jason Jones, James’ brother, scored the final touchdown on a 45-yard reception. Ledesma passed for 250 yards.
The Righetti offense was led by Williams’ 151 yards on 19 carries.
