El Camino Ties Golden West on 56-Yard Field Goal
Dominic Cefalone, injured early in the year and sick last week, came off the El Camino College bench with no time on the clock Saturday night to kick a 56-yard field goal that salvaged a 31-31 tie with Golden West in a Mission Conference game played at Orange Coast College.
Golden West running back Blaise Bryant gained 277 yards in 39 carries.
El Camino quarterback Scott Yessner and Golden West’s Joe Napoli hooked up in a passing duel. Napoli finished with 235 yards in passing. Yessner had 205 and a touchdown.
Three seconds before Cefalone’s tying field goal, Golden West kicker KC Satterthwaite had given the Rustlers a 31-28 lead with a 33-yard field goal.
