Sports Briefs : CSULB Fame Banquet

Twelve members will be inducted into the Cal State Long Beach Athletic Hall of Fame at a banquet Friday night at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Long Beach.

The honorees are Bill Baron, Glenn McDonald and LaTaunya Pollard, basketball; Jim Stangeland, Dan Bunz and Dallas Moon, football; Pat McCormick, diving; Bob Horn, water polo; Dodge Parker, volleyball; Millie Stanley, golf; and Dorothy Deathridge and Fred Miller, administration.

Poly (4-0) is second in the CIF Southern Section Division I poll and St. Paul (3-2) is ninth.

In Division III, Dominguez (5-0) is second, Paramount (5-0) is fourth and Cerritos (4-0-1) is seventh.

Bell Gardens (5-0) is second in Division IV, Bellflower (5-0) is sixth in Division VI and Whittier Christian (4-1) and Valley Christian (4-1) are third and fourth, respectively, in Division IX.
