CSDH Men, Women Win at Soccer

The Cal State Dominguez Hills men’s and women’s soccer teams both shut out Chapman College on Saturday in California Collegiate Athletic Assn. games at Dominguez Hills.
The men beat Chapman, 2-0. The Toros are now 9-4 overall and 3-1 for second place in the CCAA; the Panthers are 6-9 and 0-4.
The Toros scored both goals in the second half. Freshman Sean Simmon connected at the 18-minute mark after a scramble in front of the Chapman net. Later Marck Lincir scored his first goal of the season on a header from 25 feet out, assisted by Ryan Oshima.
The women (6-6-1), led by Rhonda McVicar, beat Chapman 4-0. McVicar scored two goals against the Panthers (6-5-3) for a season total of 10. The first was assisted by Monica Mautino, the second by Darlene Dattel.
