THE HIGH SCHOOLS : Southern Section Roundup : Westervelt’s 5 Scoring Passes Lead Hart
Quarterback Rob Westervelt threw for 5 touchdowns and completed 16 of 22 passes for 185 yards to lead Hart to a 38-20 Foothill League victory Friday night at East Los Angeles College.
Hart tight end Brian Allen caught 8 passes for 135 yards and 3 touchdowns and wide receiver Cameron Smyth caught touchdown passes of 10 and 38 yards.
Scott Etheridge hit 5 of 5 point-after attempts and kicked a 28-yard field goal. Hart tailback Howard Blackwell carried the ball 16 times for 106 yards.
Hart improved to 5-2 overall, 2-0 in league play. Alhambra dropped to 3-4 0-1.
