Quake Measuring 2.8 Hits Playa del Rey
A small earthquake occurred under Playa del Rey early Saturday but was apparently not strong enough to be felt, authorities said.
The temblor was measured by seismologists as magnitude 2.8 and was centered 13 miles south-southwest of downtown Los Angeles, a spokesman for Caltech in Pasadena said.
