Saugus 21, Quartz Hill 8--Saugus quarterback Jason Sachs completed 3 of 11 for 100 yards in his first start, but all 3 completions went for touchdowns as the Centurions (1-6-1, 1-2) won their first game at Quartz Hill.

Saugus scored first on a 79-yard reception by Angel Martinez, who caught a short pass, dodged a tackler and sprinted down the sideline. After Quartz Hill (3-5, 0-3) came back to take an 8-7 halftime advantage, John Albert recovered a fumble to set up the Centurions’ go-ahead touchdown, a 3-yard pass from Sachs to Pat Henry.

Martinez scored his second touchdown on an 18-yard catch with less than 2 minutes remaining.
