In Western Christian Athletic Assn. men’s basketball:

Pacific Christian 100, Arizona College of the Bible 77--Steve Heard scored 26 points and Brian Keiser 27 to lead Pacific Christian (8-4, 4-0) at Phoenix.

Christian Heritage 104, Christ College Irvine 63--Dave Kirksey, a transfer from Cypress College, had a game-high 24 points to lead host Christian Heritage. Former Fullerton College center John Burkhardt blocked a school-record 11 shots for Christian Heritage (7-1). Christ College is 3-6.

In nonconference women’s basketball:

University of La Verne 41, Southern California Christian 39--Jennifer Tallungan scored with 19 seconds remaining for University of La Verne (6-3) at SCC. Laura Hartigan led SCC (2-9) with 12 points.

In women’s track and field:

UC Irvine’s Kristi Kaufman is in second place with 2,438 points after four events of the Cal State Long Beach winter heptathlon. Teammate Sue Eggelston (2,187 points) is in third.

With three events remaining, Amy Ice of Long Beach is in first place with 2,814 points.

In nonconference men’s swimming:

UC Irvine 159, UNLV 85--Brian Pajer won the 100- and 200-meter breaststroke to lead the Anteaters (4-1) at Las Vegas. Other Irvine winners included Jeff Clatt, who won the 100 butterfly (50.12) and 200 individual medley (1:55.50); Brian Judd, who won the 200 freestyle (1:42.66) and 500 freestyle (4:38.98); and Matt Wright, who won the 50 freestyle (21.55) and 100 freestyle (45.94).
