Lions Connect on 15 3-Pointers in Win Over AIA, 146-137
Loyola Marymount put on a 3-point shooting display Saturday night to defeat visiting Athletes in Action, 146-137, in an exhibition game.
The Lions hit 15 3-pointers to overcome a 9-point second-half deficit. Junior guard Jeff Fryer scored 40 points, including 7 3-pointers.
Hank Gathers added 33 points, Enoch Simmons 28 and Per Stumer 17 for Loyola.
Anthony Watson led AIA with 32.
Loyola’s next game figures to be another shootout, Saturday at Oklahoma.
