Area’s Junior College Teams Face Tournament Competition

All 4 Valley-area junior college basketball teams will see action in tournaments this week.

Glendale will play host to Valley and Canyons in the 8-team Vaquero Classic beginning tonight. East Los Angeles will play Antelope Valley at 6 p.m. followed by a game between Compton and Valley at 8. The other first-round games are on Thursday. Canyons will play Columbia Basin, Wash., at 6 p.m., and Glendale will meet Grays Harbor, Wash., at 8.

Moorpark opens play in the 8-team Pasadena tournament at 5 tonight against Mt. San Antonio College.
