Dori Lee scored twice in the second half Saturday and the Mission Viejo High School girls’ soccer team extended its undefeated streak to 81 games with a 2-0 nonleague victory over Corona del Mar at Newport Harbor High.

Lee, who was robbed of a goal midway in the first half by Sea King goalie Kim Kolstad, gave the Diablos a 1-0 lead with 18 minutes gone in the second period when she took a pass from Kristen Watkins and fired a shot past Kolstad.

Fifteen minutes later, Watkins took a pass from Julie Foudy and lined a shot that deflected off Kolstad to an unguarded Lee, who drilled a rising shot into the net for her second goal.

Corona del Mar (8-4-2), which was eliminated by Mission Viejo in last year’s Southern Section 4-A quarterfinals, 5-0, got a series of key saves from Kolstad in the first half to keep Mission Viejo scoreless.

Kolstad, who finished the game with 15 saves, got nine of them in the first half as she had to make diving saves on three shots by Foudy and a fourth against Lee.

The Sea King offense, which couldn’t get any effective shots in the first half, had its best scoring chance with 15 minutes left in the game when Kristen Borland’s line-drive kick was saved by Diablo goalie Kim Connelly.

“We had been putting a lot of pressure on ourselves because of the streak,” Mission Viejo Coach Jim Dutton said. “But today, our players relaxed, went out and played a very good game.”
