Long Beach : Development Director Takes Job in Fremont
Roger C. Anderman, director of community development in Long Beach for 2 1/2 years, will leave his post at the end of the month to become assistant city manager in Fremont, a San Francisco Bay Area community of about 165,000. Anderman was deputy city manager in Salinas before joining the Long Beach Community Development Department as assistant director.
Anderman, 44, says he counts among his achievements the creation of a low- and moderate-income housing fund, revival of west Long Beach redevelopment projects, the continued redevelopment of downtown, and progress in establishing an auto mall in the city.
