Sophomore Dori Lee scored three goals to lead Mission Viejo High School to a 6-1 victory over Irvine in a South Coast League girls’ soccer match Thursday at Irvine.
It was the 83rd consecutive match without a loss for Mission Viejo (13-0-2, 2-0-1).
Lee scored twice in the first half and senior Julie Foudy and freshman Jill Florey added goals to Mission Viejo a 4-0 lead. Lee and Florey also scored in the second half.
Tamar deFries had four saves for Mission Viejo.
“We played well and they did too,” Mission Viejo Coach Jim Dutton said. “But we just had more speed on defense. We just outran them.”
