Garrett Greedy, Servite High School’s 3-time All-Angelus League linebacker, said Tuesday he has made an oral commitment to attend and play football at UCLA next season. He said he will sign a letter of intent Feb. 8 to attend UCLA. Feb. 8 is the first day a high school player can sign national letters of intent.
Greedy is considered one of the top high school linebackers in the state and was named to the All-Southern Section team after helping Servite reach the semifinals of the Division I playoffs.
Greedy (6 feet 3 inches and 230 pounds) has canceled recruiting trips to Stanford and Colorado.
