Marinaro’s Third Goal Gives Lazers Win

WICHITA, Kan. — Hector Marinaro scored 3 goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to give the Lazers a 7-6 victory over the Wichita Wings in Major Indoor Soccer League action Friday night.
Goals by Victor Moreland and Mike Fox in the second period gave Wichita a 2-0 lead.
Marinaro’s first goal made it 2-1, but Jean Willrich scored for the Wings to increase the lead to two again.
The Lazers (13-12) narrowed the score on a goal by Mike Collins, but Chico Moreira scored for Wichita, putting the Wings ahead at the half, 4-2.
Third-quarter goals by Bobby Joe Esposito and Steve Kinsey tied the score, 4-4.
Marinaro’s second goal of the game came early in the fourth quarter, and Los Angeles extended its lead on a shot by Gary Heale to 6-4.
