In the 2-A semifinals:
Temple City 1, Valencia 0--Valencia stopped Carmen Morrel, the 2-A scoring leading with 49 goals, but gave up a goal to Penny Saunders 13 minutes into the first half at Temple City.
Temple City (19-1-1) is seeded No. 1 in 2-A and will play South Pasadena on Saturday at Gahr High School in the championship game.
Valencia (17-7) had several chances to tie, playing a more physical game in the second half and enjoying better field position because of it. Valencia had three missed shots within a minute midway in the second half.
