IN BRIEF : Arizona’s Cook Top Pac-10 Cager

WALNUT CREEK — Arizona forward Anthony Cook was named the Pac-10 Conference men’s basketball player of the week today. The 6-foot-9 senior from Los Angeles paced the Wildcats to their second Pac-10 championship with a 17-1 conference play record after road wins at Washington State (74-48) and at UCLA (89-86). Cook scored 45 points and 25 rebounds in those two games last week, shooting 60% from the floor. He had 28 points and nine rebounds against the Cougars; with a 17 and 12 tally against the Bruins. Cook also managed four steals and four blocked shots against UCLA and Washington State.
