Jon Peters, unbeaten in his high school baseball career at Brenham (Tex.) High School, won his 50th consecutive game, tying the national prep record for consecutive pitching victories.

Peters struck out 12 and retired the last 15 batters as Brenham defeated Katy Taylor, 3-1. The victory tied him with Timmy Moore of McCall, S.C., who won 50 straight from 1978-80.
