San Ysidro
A La Mirada man died early Monday after being stabbed in a San Ysidro parking lot, police said.
Rubin Salido, 27, was declared dead at the UC San Diego Medical Center shortly after 2 a.m., according to police.
Officers were sent at 12:30 a.m. to a gas station in the 300 block of East San Ysidro Boulevard after someone reported a stabbing there, the spokesman said. He said the officers found no one there but got another report of a stabbing near a fire station five minutes away.
Officers found the wounded Salido near the station, at Palm and Twining avenues, police said.
Investigators learned from witnesses that Salido and another man had been arguing before Salido was stabbed, the spokesman said. No one has been arrested.
