Patrick Lennon, the Seattle Mariners’ first choice in the 1986 amateur draft, was suspended from the double-A Williamsport (Pa.) Bills after he was charged with attempted murder, officials said.

Lennon, 21, was arrested shortly after firing a shot at Robert Strickland in a parking lot, police said. The two were arguing over a third man’s attempt to pick up Strickland’s female cousin, police said.
