Redell Interested in Hart Position

Former Crespi High football Coach Bill Redell said Friday that he has contacted Hart Principal Laurence Strauss about the possibility of replacing Dave Carson.

Redell, 48, said he had “preliminary discussions” over the telephone with Strauss on Thursday--which Strauss confirmed--and said that the attractiveness of the position was too much to pass up.

“It’s an outstanding job as far as football in the San Fernando Valley,” he said. “I’m interested in discussing it, in seeing what they’re looking for in terms of a coach.”
