George Contreras Joins Rio Mesa Football Staff

George Contreras, who resigned as football coach at Westlake High at the end of last season, has accepted a position as defensive coordinator at Rio Mesa.

Contreras will continue teaching at Westlake, although he is seeking a job within the Oxnard Union High School District, of which Rio Mesa is a member.

“I’m fairly well committed as far as this season,” Contreras said.
