Fall Sports Roundup : Master’s Blasts Pepperdine in Soccer Match, 11-0

The Master’s College thumped overmatched Pepperdine, 11-0, Saturday at The Master’s in a men’s soccer opener for both schools.
Midfielder Randy Whitfield and forwards Chris Bingman, Rick Abasial and Chris Palm each scored two goals for Master’s, which led, 5-0, at halftime.
Master’s begins the season ranked among the top 30 in the National Assn. of Intercollegiate Athletics preseason poll.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Westmont d. Master’s, 15-8, 15-8--The Master’s finished fourth in the six-team Grand Canyon Court Classic in Phoenix after suffering a two-game loss to Westmont (Santa Barbara) College.
Master’s is 2-3.
