Blazes Causes $250,000 Damage to Tire Store
A fire raced through a Van Nuys tire store Saturday night, collapsing the roof and causing an estimated $250,000 damage, the Los Angeles City Fire Department reported.
About 90 firefighters from 18 companies put out the blaze at the Auto Master Tire store, 14212 Oxnard St., in about 40 minutes, Fire Department spokesman Greg Acevedo said.
The fire broke out shortly after 7 p.m. The cause is under investigation.
