Palos Verdes Tankers Advance in Playoffs

Palos Verdes advanced to the second round of the CIF Southern Section 3-A water polo playoffs by beating Fountain Valley, 11-9, Wednesday afternoon at Palos Verdes.

Palos Verdes improved to 19-4, Fountain Valley ended the year at 14-14.

Palos Verdes’ Chris McAllister led all scorers with five goals, including one from the two-meter spot with 1:56 to go in the match, giving the Sea Kings an 11-8 lead.

Palos Verdes will play Crespi Friday afternoon at a site to be determined.
