PREP SOCCER ROUNDUP : Unbeaten Laguna Hills Routs Trabuco Hills

Juan Strutton scored twice and had two assists to lead Laguna Hills High School to a 6-2 victory over Trabuco Hills in a Pacific Coast League soccer match Friday at Trabuco Hills.

Brian Slayback and Scott Clark each had a goal for the Hawks (8-0, 3-0). Trabuco Hills is 5-4, 2-1.

Orange 4, Costa Mesa 1--Ricky Heimer had two goals, Tim Huhn and Jason Smith had one each for Orange (4-1-2, 3-0) at Costa Mesa.

In Garden Grove League boys’ soccer:

La Quinta 2, Bolsa Grande 2--Chris Doherty tied the match 12 minutes into the second half for La Quinta. Bolsa Grande had a 2-0 halftime lead when Chris Siok cut the lead to 2-1 three minutes into the second half for host La Quinta (3-4-2 overall and 0-0-2 in league).

In nonleague boys’ soccer:

Cypress 3, Western 0--Darrin Willis had two goals and Ray Klug had one to lead visiting Cypress (4-1-1).

Dana Hills 3, University 0--Knut Witthos, Mike Stevenson and Brian Rogers each scored for host Dana Hills (5-2). University is 2-1-4.

Katella 1, Magnolia 1--Armanda Orizala scored on a penalty kick 50 minutes into the match to tie the match for Katella (7-1-2). Oscar Lopez scored at the 23-minute mark to put host Magnolia (2-2-2) ahead.

Huntington Beach 2, Capistrano Valley 1--Dean Syrengelas and Chris Wright each had a goal to lead host Huntington Beach (4-2). Randall Gordoba scored for Capistrano Valley. Huntington Beach goalie Steve Allison had eight saves.

Villa Park 5, Sonora 0--Jimmy Obleda had three goals to lead host Villa Park (3-1-2). Jim Hall and David Szekeres each had one goal for Villa Park. Obleda now has five goals in his last two matches.

Esperanza 3, Fullerton 1--Mike Voss had two goals and Brian Shoup one for host Esperanza (6-3-1). Fullerton led, 1-0, at the half, but Voss’ two goals but Esperanza ahead.

Foothill 1, Irvine 0--Mark Heinisch scored in the second half for visiting Foothill (7-0).

Newport Harbor 1, Ocean View 0--Joey Perez scored off David Pattinson’s assist 26 minutes into the first half at Newport Harbor (7-1). Josh Klein had five saves for Newport Harbor and Josh Page had 13 saves for Ocean View (3-3-1).

Central 3, Brea-Olinda 1--Jasyn Ochs scored in the second half at Brea-Olinda (3-3-2).
