Share

Grossmont’s Christine Adams set a San Diego Section record by hitting eight three-pointers in Grossmont’s 70-61 loss to Helix Tuesday in a nonleague game at Grossmont.

Adams was 14 of 52 from the field and nine of 12 from the line and ended the game with 45 points.

The previous record was held by Mountain Empire’s Alison Peckman, who made six three-pointers against Calvin Christian on Jan. 15, 1989. The three-point rule was adopted before the 1987-88 season.
