U.S. Border Patrol officers found the body of an unidentified woman Tuesday morning on a dirt road in a remote area just north of the border.
The Latino woman, apparently in her 60s, was wearing a green sweater, gray skirt and brown slippers. There was no sign of foul play, according to the Sheriff’s Department. The body was found 4 miles west of the San Ysidro port of entry at 11:35 a.m. by border officers on a routine patrol. The coroner’s office scheduled an autopsy.
