THE SIDELINES : Baltimore All-Star Site in ’93
Major league baseball awarded its 1993 All-Star Game to Baltimore today, where it is expected to be played in Camden Yards, the city’s projected new baseball stadium.
The facility is scheduled to be completed in time for the 1992 season.
It will be the second All-Star game for the city, which hosted the American League’s 4-3 victory in 1958.
Next summer’s game will be played in Chicago’s Wrigley Field, followed by the Toronto SkyDome in 1991 and San Diego’s Jack Murphy Stadium in 1992.
