Willard Edward Lauermann, former football star at Loyola and later a coach at Dorsey High, died last weekend at his home in Escondido. Lauermann was voted to two All-Coast football teams in 1932 and played professionally for the L.A. Shamrocks. In 1988 he was inducted to the Loyola Marymount athletic hall of fame.
